David is President and CEO of General Microcircuits. He has been with GMI for 25 years. In addition, he serves on Charlotte Regional Partnership’s Business Development Advisory Council, a member of Charlotte’s Global Vision Leaders Group and a member of the World Affairs Council of Charlotte. Philanthropically, he has been the long term Chairman of Charlotte’s annual Festival in the Park and its most recent branding sibling, the Kings Drive Art Walk.
GMI is a global advanced electronics manufacturing company providing circuit board and integrated assemblies to manufacturers in diverse industries and applications. Founded in 1980 and located 20 miles north of Charlotte, North Carolina, General Microcircuits serves customers in all segments of the industrial, commercial, telecommunications, medical, defense, energy and evolving market-sectors. Within the past decade, the Energy Sector has been GMI’s fastest growing sector.

GMI provided the manufacturing expertise to build the first Federal Express Portable Bar Coding device, several of the initial set-top boxes for Cable and Satellite and for at least a dozen OEMs that have ventured into the Smart Grid sector as well as other New Energy companies.
