Join Carolina energy executives and officials on a two-day Houston Energy Excursion and learn about a revolutionary natural gas-fired power technology which emits no pollutants, CO2 pipelines, enhanced oil recovery and the natural gas upstream and midstream infrastructure serving the Carolinas,r

The Houston Energy Excursion includes:

  • Visits to various Houston energy venues and meetings with Houston energy executives;
  • March 7th single occupancy accommodation at the Hilton Houston Post Oak by the Galleria;
  • Luxury motor coach transport from IAH at approximately 10:15 am on March 7th to first site visit;
  • Two lunches, one dinner reception and one breakfast;
  • Luxury transportation to and from each Houston Visit itinerary location;
  • Airport transfer to IAH at approximately 3:45 p.m. on March 8th.

Attendees must secure and pay for the own air transportation recognizing that:

  • Attendees must arrive at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in time to board the motor coach and depart at 10:15 am on Wednesday, March 7th (otherwise attendees may arrange their own transportation to the first or other site visit);
  • Attendees will return to IAH via motor coach at 3:45 pm on Thursday, March 8 (otherwise attendees may arrange their own transportation from a morning venue to IAH);
  • Airport motor coach transportation corresponds with the following flights:
    • Departing CLT – American Airlines Flight 1978: CLT to IAH 7:40 a.m. – 9:28 am (Non-stop)
    • Departing IAH – American Airlines Flight 278: IAH to CLT 5:35 p.m. – 9:03 pm (Non-stop)
    • NOTE – only 6 round trip seats were available on 2/20/18 at a cost of about $500.
    • NOTE: Flights from both Raleigh, NC and Columbia, SC connect in Charlotte with the above flights.

The Houston Energy Excursion Registration Fee Schedule

  • All fees must be paid in advance and are inclusive of all amenities and site visits described
  • Employees of E4 Carolinas Members – $715 per person
  • Employees of non-E4 Carolinas Members – $750 per person

11:15 am – 12:15 pm Kinder Morgan CO2 Pipeline: an overview of the Kinder Morgan CO2 pipeline and its operation

12:15 pm – 1:15 pm NRG Petra Nova Carbon Capture: an overview of the NRG Petra Nova carbon capture project and its operation to serve enhanced oil recovery

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company (2800 Post Oak Boulevard, Houston, Texas). Topics include scheduling, control, safety, methane reduction initiatives and service to the Carolinas
